Teambuilding in Bintan - FUN!!!

Long time no update liao.. Coz home internet connection got problem la.. This period of time, DS Lite kept me companied.. :D

9th May 2008 (Friday)
Our finance team departed for Bintan for our 2D1N Teambuilding Trip.. It was fun..!!! I'm sure we all have enjoyed ourselves although most of us kept complaining about the weather la.. the tiredness la.. the muscle-aches la.. and the orh-chehs we collected on our legs & arms.. Keke..
It was my first time to Bintan. Also my first time attending a teambuilding course and clearing the various obstacles.. Suakoo hor.. U all can go ahead & laugh lor.. But I'm proud of myself clearing the course.. :P Got certificate de hor.. Mai siao siao.. Dun play play huh..

Photos... !!!

Departing from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal on a ferry for about an hour, we arrived at Bintan and was transferred to our teambuilding ground via coach.. (Did you spot the pretty me? :P)

After some light snacks, a brief introduction by the instructors kickstart the course.. We were divided into 2 main groups led by 2 main instructors - Adam & Andy.. Andy was the instructor of my group.. A young & nice "yang guang nan hai".. (Hee.. Too bad no pics of him to show you gals.. Will try to get from my colleague, k..?)

We were further divided into 2 smaller teams.. After an indoor "Getting to Know You" game, we proceed to our 1st outdoor game - "Giant See-Saw".. Each team was to balance on the see-saw parallel to the ground for at least 45 second within a 5 minutes grace period.. My team took 2 tries to succeed.. Injury: Splinters in fingers.. (Not me la.. Some of colleagues kena..) Weather was "KP HOT" lor..

After this was another 2 outdoor games - "Human Washing Machine" & "Mohawk Walk" before we break for our lunch..

After lunch, we challenged the "Team Challenge Pyramid" - a 25 metres high tower designed to be conquered only with the support and encouragement of every team member. A group of 5 must ascend an upward spiral to the peak of the pyramid with a series of challenges along the way. At the top of the tower, each member descends individually to the ground via the Flying Fox.

My team (From Left) -
Leader: Mr Wong..

Members: Serene W, Nancy, Serene P & Me..

Stage 1 - Balance and walk across a horizontal & thin wooden trunk.. Scary..!!!

Stage 2: Climb across the net.. Simple..!!!

Stage 3 - Walk across these wooden planks.. No sweat..!!!

Stage 4 - Rock climbing..
Stage 5 - Leap of Faith.. Lots of courage needed for the leader and those with short legs.. (The gap is quite far ok.. No joke..)

Stage 6 - Climb vertically up metal rods.. Reaching soon.. Yeh..!!!

Final Stage - We finally reached the TOP of the pyramid.. Hooray..!!! Rang the bell of victory.. And prepare for Flying Fox..

Good times don't last long..

2 attacks in such a short period of time.. Kind of hard to take it.. Been telling myself to deal with them positively.. But seems so hard.. Lost of direction..?? I really don't know..

Somewhere in me, I know I should be able to take them all.. I know I can.. Others told me I can too.. But I need time.. I need support.. I need to voice out in order to get what I want..

But how..?? Some did tell me how.. But it's hard for me to do it.. It's just not me.. Maybe I should.. Maybe not..

Guess I only can say.. Good times don't last long.. Well, at least for me.. :(

1st Blog Post..!!!

Hi to all.. A very big welcome for myself into the blogging world.. :P Never did I ever thought of keeping a blog.. Haha.. Cause I think I will be rather lazy and busy to maintain one.. Keke..

However, the thought of starting one comes by whilst reading my little cousin Xuan's blog today.. Xuan & Daddy & Mummy relocated to Missouri, USA last month.. Her blog gives the family and friends over here an update of the happenings in their day to day life over in US..

So I was thinking.. I might as well also do the same thing.. Then I will be able to give them an update of what's happening in the family as well.. At the same time, I also can document the happenings in my life for myself too.. Clever right..? :P
